Charli is a warm and dedicated registered counsellor with a background in psychology. She is committed to creating a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted. She recognises the courage it takes to reach out for support and honours the vulnerability that comes with beginning counselling. Charli works with children, adolescents, and adults, supporting each person at their own pace.
Her work is grounded in person-centred and trauma-informed practice, respecting your autonomy, pace, and lived experience. Charli views therapy as a collaborative process, one where you are the expert in your own life, and she walks alongside your story with compassion and curiosity, offering a consistent and non-judgemental space for growth.
Melissa is a warm, compassionate, and highly experienced psychologist who works with adolescents and adults using an attachment-focused, trauma-informed approach to therapy and assessment. She is registered as a psychologist in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Bermuda, and brings extensive experience across both educational and clinical settings.
Melissa has a strong background in education, having worked for many years as both a secondary teacher and, more recently, as a school psychologist and Guidance Officer supporting young people with mental health challenges, learning difficulties, developmental concerns, and school-based wellbeing needs. This educational foundation gives her a deep understanding of the emotional, behavioural, and learning challenges that children, adolescents, and families often face.
Alongside therapy, Melissa has a particular interest in child and adolescent neurodevelopmental assessment, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, cognitive assessments, and broader educational and developmental evaluations. She has previously led The Assessment Centre in Bermuda, and is passionate about providing clear, practical, and thorough assessment outcomes that support families, schools, and young people to better understand their strengths and needs.
In therapy, Melissa works primarily with adolescents (12+) and adults experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, anxiety, OCD, depression, adjustment difficulties, workplace stress, and emotional regulation challenges. Her primary therapeutic modalities include Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Ego State Therapy, and Schema Therapy.
With a significant background in dance and movement, Melissa also values the role of somatic-based approaches in healing trauma and supporting nervous system regulation, incorporating body-based awareness where appropriate.
Melissa is currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology and is passionate about helping clients move beyond survival patterns to create meaningful, connected, and fulfilling lives.
Outside of clinical work, Melissa enjoys travel, languages, yoga, running, guitar, and spending time outdoors on the Sunshine Coast.
